Notes
'Lipstick Blonde' hosta (Hosta 'Lipstick Blonde') is a perennial for mixed containers and garden beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun. Its chartreuse to gold leaves sit on red stems, and lavender bell-shaped flowers rise above them in midsummer. Give it six hours of sun to keep the bold yellow color, since shade turns the leaves light green. Bees and hummingbirds visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Wild ginger, Canada wild rye, and Samantha lily.
