Notes

'Liquid Amber' peony (Paeonia 'Liquid Amber') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Its tan blooms have pink edges and amber shading, and they open in early to late spring. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Sweet woodruff, Damask rose, and The President clematis.
