Notes

'Little Devil' Atlantic nine-bark (Physocarpus opulifolius 'Little Devil') is a shrub for borders, hedges, foundation plantings, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and handles dry spells well. Spiraea-like flowers draw butterflies, bees, and birds, and the bark peels as it ages.

Pairs well with Common snowberry, Sensitive fern, Spotted joe-pye weed, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
