Notes

'Livingstone' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Livingstone') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large double blooms open rose-pink with silvery edges and carmine-red flecks in late spring. The flowers have a strong, sweet fragrance, and the strong stems hold them up well. François-Félix Crousse bred it.

Pairs well with Gooseneck loosestrife, Maiden pink, Sensitive fern, and Black Parrot tulip.
