Notes

Red pine (Pinus resinosa) is a tree for low maintenance landscapes. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. The long, straight trunk has reddish-brown, scaly bark, and songbirds visit the tree. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It is evergreen and can reach 125 feet or more.

Pairs well with White spruce, Hackberry, and Woods rose.
