Notes

'Lone Sentinel' peony (Paeonia 'Lone Sentinel') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Cream blooms with light red centers open in early to late spring. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Butterflies visit the flowers, and Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Blue fescue, and Lily.
