Notes

Long tubed iris (Iris macrosiphon) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Large flowers come in golden yellow, cream, pale lavender, or deep blue-purple, usually with distinct veins, and bloom in early to late spring. Butterflies visit the blooms. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Pineapple sage, Lemongrass, and Totally Tangerine dahlia.
