Notes

'Louie' eastern white pine (Pinus strobus 'Louie') is a tree for borders, specimen planting, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It grows at a rapid rate into a conical evergreen. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Birds visit this tree.

Pairs well with Blue Arrow Rocky mountain juniper, Shagbark hickory, and Buffalo grass.
