Notes

'Pendula' eastern white pine (Pinus strobus 'Pendula') is a tree for borders, specimen planting, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It grows in a conical shape at a rapid rate, and birds visit the evergreen branches. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It needs little care once planted.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Sedge, and Panicle hydrangea.
