Notes
'Loviise' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Loviise') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Mid-season blooms are single, purple, and upward facing, with about four per stem. The flowers have a noticeable fragrance. The stems stand up well, so you do not need to add support.
Pairs well with Big Daddy hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Christmas fern.
