'Lowland Nepal' tea plant (Camellia sinensis 'Lowland Nepal') is a shrub for tea harvesting, hedges, and foundation planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. It has smooth, dark green leaves and white to cream flowers in early to mid autumn. You can pluck the top three young leaves from the branch tips in the warmer months. Prune it to any size you like, or use it in place of boxwood.
Pairs well with Concha ceanothus, Shenandoah switchgrass, and Elfin mother of thyme.
