Notes

'Lucy' rose of sharon (Hibiscus syriacus 'Lucy') is a shrub for pollinator gardens and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the double red-pink blooms. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows fast and tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Yarrow, Big bluestem, and Blueberry.
