Notes

'Lucy Williams' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Lucy Williams') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, loose, light pink double blooms have a small creamy yellow center. Tall, slightly bending stems carry the flowers in late midseason. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Black Hero tulip, Prairie dropseed, and Spotted dead nettle.
