Notes
'Lutea variegata' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Lutea variegata') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double blooms are white shaded with yellow, so they bring a soft glow to the garden. Cut a few stems for a vase and enjoy them indoors. Nicolas Lémon bred it.
Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, Annabelle hydrangea, Switchgrass, and Stargazer lily.
