Notes
'W.T. Macoun' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'W.T. Macoun') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large single flowers have a double row of clear red petals that do not fade. The foliage stays healthy, and this is a strong grower.
Pairs well with Guacamole hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Christmas fern.
