Notes

'Madame Ducel' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Madame Ducel') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It stays compact and has stiff stems. The double flowers open in mid to late spring. They have broad guards and an incurved center of pale old-rose with a silvery sheen.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Picture tulip.
