Notes
'Mademoiselle Rousseau' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mademoiselle Rousseau') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large double flowers are pale creamy pink with tiny pink dots and crimson marks on the crown. They open in mid to late spring on sturdy stems. Jacques Calot bred it in 1886.
Pairs well with Coralbells, Carlton daffodil, and Sensitive fern.
