Notes

'Madison' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Madison') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It has deep pink blooms with a yellow center in late spring. A double row of deep pink guard petals surrounds pink tipped stigmas. Roy G. Klehm bred it, and the strong plants have lush foliage.

Pairs well with Pink Impression tulip, Ostrich fern, Blue sage, and Sedge.
