Notes
'Madrigal' peony (Paeonia 'Madrigal') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its large, semi-double blooms open in light pink and cream. Professor Arthur Percy Saunders bred it in 1941.
Pairs well with August Moon hosta, Stargazer lily, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
