Notes

'Magic Charms' dianthus (Dianthus 'Magic Charms') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and the fragrant flowers draw butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Drought tolerance makes it easy to grow.

Pairs well with Lamb’s ear, Creeping thyme, and Blue fescue.
