Notes

'Magnet' peony (Paeonia 'Magnet') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The cherry-red or deep pink blooms have a blush or white center and open from spring into early summer, and butterflies visit them. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Toad lily, Damask rose, and Sweet woodruff.
