Notes

Magnolia (Magnolia laevifolia) is a shrub for hedges, accents, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows slowly into a columnar, evergreen form. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Its fragrant white flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer.

Pairs well with Olive, Loquat, Calla lily, and Carolina jessamine.
