Notes

'Maiden Queen' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Maiden Queen') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, double flowers are rose colored, so they bring bold color to a sunny bed. Cut a few stems for a vase and enjoy the blooms indoors. Dr. John H. Neeley bred it.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Annabelle hydrangea, and Blue grama.
