Notes
'Maiden Rock' peony (Paeonia 'Maiden Rock') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant pink double blooms are over 8 inches wide and float above the foliage on thick stems that need no support. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Anise hyssop, Big Daddy hosta, and Prairie dropseed.
