Notes
'Majestic Carpet' peony (Paeonia 'Majestic Carpet') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The semi-double yellow blooms are highly fragrant and open at midseason on upright plants. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Swenson Gardens bred it.
Pairs well with Empress Wu hosta, Fringed bleeding heart, Prairie dropseed, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
