Notes

'Majesty’s Imperial' peony (Paeonia 'Majesty’s Imperial') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The creamy yellow blooms are fragrant and appear one per stem, and bees and butterflies visit them. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. The upright stems support themselves.

Pairs well with Sum and Substance hosta, Eastern columbine, Prairie dropseed, and Black Hero tulip.
