Notes

'Major Steve' peony (Paeonia 'Major Steve') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant light pink flowers have stiff stems that hold them up well. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. D. Steve Varner bred it from Red Charm and Sunny Boy.

Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Phantom panicle hydrangea, Switchgrass, and Paprika yarrow.
