Notes
Manchu rose (Rosa xanthina) is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It grows 6 to 9 feet tall and spreads 7 to 10 feet wide, so give it plenty of room. Fragrant, semi-double yellow flowers open in mid to late spring.
Pairs well with Indigo, Feather reed grass, and Viburnum.
Native range
China, Korea, and Mongolia.
