Notes

'Marcelle Dessert' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Marcelle Dessert') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large double flowers open pale pink with crimson flecks in mid to late spring and early summer. They are fragrant and sit on strong stems above dark foliage. Dessert bred it, and the plant can rot, so give it good air flow.

Pairs well with Wild ginger, Sedge, and Grape hyacinth.
