Notes

'Mariellen' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mariellen') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears white blooms that look good in a vase, so you can cut a few for indoor color. Plant it where it can stay put for years, and give it room to fill out. Benjamin W. Guppy bred it.

Pairs well with Autumn Frost hosta, Western sword fern, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Polish Spirit clematis.
