Notes
'Marina' rose of sharon (Hibiscus syriacus 'Marina') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil of most types. It grows fast and handles drought and salt, and butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit it. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Give it room to reach its full height.
Pairs well with Yarrow, Ornamental onion, and Japanese maple.
