Notes

'Marita' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Marita') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears large, pure white double flowers in late spring and early summer. Marita is among the latest peonies to bloom. Walter J. Guille bred it in 1953.

Pairs well with Sweet William, Phantom panicle hydrangea, and Sedge.
