Notes
'Martin H. Moen' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Martin H. Moen') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears bright red, loose petal blooms that are 5 to 6 inches across. The stems are tall and fairly strong, and the foliage looks excellent. Robert William Tischler bred it.
Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Sedge, and Ostrich fern.
