Notes

'Mary L. Hollis' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mary L. Hollis') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, semi-double flowers are light pink and bloom from mid to late spring into early summer. They have a moderate fragrance and show many stamens in a cupped center. George Hollis bred it in 1907.

Pairs well with Perennial candytuft, Prairie dropseed, and Christmas fern.
