Notes

'Mary Jo Legare' peony (Paeonia 'Mary Jo Legare') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Roy Pehrson bred it, and the deep pink double blooms are ball shaped. The color fades to pale pink, but the heart of each bloom stays deep pink. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with PowWow White coneflower, Dancing Queen hosta, and Sedge.
