Notes

'Mary P. King' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mary P. King') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it. The double flowers are clear pink, mildly fragrant, and low in the lavender tint common in pink peonies. Stiff stems hold the blooms upright.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Blazing star, and Christmas fern.
