Notes

'Matron of Honour' peony (Paeonia 'Matron of Honour') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It bears pink blooms in early to late spring that attract butterflies. Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Sweet woodruff, Toad lily, and Royal Purple smoketree.
