Notes

'Maxima Lutea' imperial fritillary (Fritillaria imperialis 'Maxima Lutea') is a perennial for borders, containers, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Its erect stems reach 35 to 47 inches tall, and bees visit the fragrant flowers. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It grows slowly, so give it time to settle in.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Green and gold.
