Notes

'May Lilac' peony (Paeonia 'May Lilac') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The fragrant, clear lilac flowers are semi-double goblets that attract butterflies and bees. Deep green leaves sit on thick, upright stems.

Pairs well with Eastern columbine, Stained Glass hosta, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
