Notes
'Maya' black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta 'Maya') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall with an erect habit. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it, and it tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with False Queen Anne's lace, Victoria Blue salvia, and First Knight fountain grass.
