Notes
'Meadow Lark' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Meadow Lark') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The light pink Japanese type flowers have a bright yellow center made of partly transformed staminodes. Stiff stems reach about 31 to 35 inches and carry fine foliage. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1977.
Pairs well with Fringed bleeding heart, Woolly yarrow, and Sensitive fern.
