Notes

Meadow rue (Thalictrum kiusianum) is a perennial for ground cover and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It stays 3 to 6 inches tall, spreads 12 to 18 inches, and bears lavender to pinkish-purple flowers from early to late summer. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The low mound of foliage fills gaps between stones and other small plants.

Pairs well with Tickseed, Comfrey, and Ornamental onion.
