Notes

'Mei Jin' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Mei Jin') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It is a compact bush that covers itself with medium sized, fragrant, lavender double blooms in early to mid spring. John and Dot McFarlane bred it, and the stems are strong enough to hold the flowers up.

Pairs well with Sweet woodruff, Bloodroot, and Switchgrass.
