Notes

'Meiji-no-homare' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Meiji-no-homare') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The blooms are a soft lilac pink. The name means Glory of Meiji, and a Japanese breeder created it.

Pairs well with First Frost hosta, Cinnamon fern, and Bottlebrush buckeye.
