Notes
'Mellow Moon' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mellow Moon') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, double blooms open with a slight blush and turn soft white. A golden halo shows where a few stamens hide under the petals. The flowers are fragrant and appear in mid to late spring.
Pairs well with Obedient plant, Ostrich fern, and Picture tulip.
