Notes

'Merovingian' peony (Paeonia 'Merovingian') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, medium pink flowers have red flares around yellow centers. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, Blanket flower, and Nodding onion.
