Notes
'Merton Marvel' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Merton Marvel') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. The columnar habit suits small spaces, and the spring flowers attract butterflies and bees. The fruit is grown for eating fresh and ripens in mid season. It is not self-fertile, so plant a second cherry nearby for pollination.
Pairs well with Limelight Prime panicle hydrangea, Spiked speedwell, and Bridal Crown daffodil.
