Notes

'Miami Maid' peony (Paeonia 'Miami Maid') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows upright and bears fragrant, deep red single blooms that attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, Blanket flower, Lilac, and Blue grama.
