Notes

'Midday Siesta' peony (Paeonia 'Midday Siesta') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Yellow flowers open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.

Pairs well with False indigo, Royal Purple smoketree, and Toad lily.
