Notes
'Mighty Atom' delphinium (Delphinium elatum 'Mighty Atom') is a perennial with blue summer flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. Large, semi-double, deep lavender blue flowers open on strong, compact stalks from early to late summer. Rabbits tend to pass it by. Cut off spent flower spikes to get another round of blooms in late summer and fall.
Pairs well with Nepeta, Panicle hydrangea, and Canada wild rye.
